SCROLL
Every minute, 500 hours of video are uploaded to YouTube.
Every day, an entire lifetime's worth of content is generated.
With every SCROLL we make, new images appear and disappear from our feed every day. Regardless of their message, the images are presented one after another, without context, without hierarchy, and with equal relevance, leaving a mark on the way we think, feel, and relate to one another.
SCROLL is a visual and auditory exploration that invites you to immerse yourself in a tide of digital publications that are constantly evolving, dissolving, and degrading.
SCROLL is an immersive experience that reflects the dizzying pace of the digital world and questions its impact on our perception, ideas, and relationships.
Videos are randomly selected from the YouTube-8M collection, a dataset of videos specifically selected for training AI models, which gradually fall onto the screen until they completely dissolve at the end.
The sound component reinforces the feeling of dissolution, mixing the original audio from the videos in real time and progressively distorting them as they disappear.
Honorable mention in the “Imagen Viva” competition organized by Magma Futura, exhibited between March and May 2025.
